**We are looking to recruit an IT Support Assistant.**

As the IT Support Assistant will join the IT Team that provides helpdesk support to users remotely and on sites, covering the IT infrastructure that includes O365, Azure AD, desktop clients, assisting with hardware and software problems and supporting the use of computing resources in the organisation.

You will be responsible for triaging and resolving issues reported. This will sometimes require travelling with equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical support, answering support queries and help staff resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems
- Manage the setup of new computers and re-purpose used ones
- Monitor and ensure that authorised software is installed on devices
- Ensure security updates and upgrades are applied to computing devices
- Manage and take ownership of support tickets proactively and escalate where necessary
- Work\liaise with suppliers and service providers to resolve faults
- Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides

**Skills / Attributes Required**:
To be successful as the IT Support Assistant you will need:

- Experience of providing first line support
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Cloud technologies
- Experience of using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office 365 (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Good understanding of setting up and configuring PC hardware using Autopilot
- Understanding of computer networks - cabling, switches, routers, broadband, DNS, etc.
- Excellent telephone manner and face-to-face communication skills
- Microsoft Certification would be beneficial, but is not essential
