This position is for Amazing Grace Nursery School in Thornton Heath town - Ever since 2000, Grace and her dedicated team of staff have been providing children with a rich and diverse learning environment frame worked with a personal dedication to provide childcare enriched with love and warmth to each individual child. Our Humble beginnings started at our South London Branch as a home-based childcare facility and as we grew in capacity and demand we decided to expand into a purpose adapted premises in Spring 2018. The Nursery now consists of a spacious open-plan unit, with designated areas specified for a wide range of activities in which children can initiate their own choice and/or be guided by staff who extend their skills, knowledge and understanding, based on regular observations of the progress of each individual child. Through the range of purposeful play and challenging activities, our children are introduced to the full array of curriculum areas, in order to develop skills and understanding within a broad and balanced framework.

**SWIFT** childcare is an **award winning apprenticeship** provider established over 10 years ago now. At SWIFT we know that becoming a **world class childcare practitioner **doesn’t just happen over night, like everything, you need to learn your craft and develop practical skills to become an effective childcare professional. That’s why our apprenticeship programs are developed to provide people with the opportunity to learn everything they need to now to build a successful career in childcare to **make a difference to future generations**.

**The main responsibilities of this job role will include**:

- Working towards **Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship**.
- Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns **whilst having fun**.
- Being a team player.
- **Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children**:

- Taking part in First Aid training as required
- Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
- Working with teams across the nursery setting
- **Supporting children’s learning and development.**:

- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
- Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
- Supporting children’s self-help needs.
- **Being creative and enthusiastic**.
- Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Learning as you go, we'll match you with a business who needs someone just like you to further enhance their setting and you'll have the chance to put everything you learn into action, with the support of our assessors, your employer and of course, the other apprentices. If you're looking to make the first step in the early years sector or to further upskill your knowledge, skills and behaviours, then this is the perfect choice for you.

Level 3 NVQ - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator - Your apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery. **You will be working full time in the nursery**. Your classroom days will be based online as a remote session which you will need to be fully available for, and your main apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery local to you.
