Salary - £37,845 - £44,913 per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

**Job Purpose**:
**BBC Wales Investigates is looking for a Senior Journalist to work on investigations and big stories for 12 months.**

**You'll also have a proven track record in producing content.**

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- You will work with the Editor, and other members of the team, to help investigate and produce creative, imaginative and exciting content. _You will be working on challenging and agenda-setting stories, you'll generate, investigate and produce strong story ideas. You will have some experience in producing investigative films and will be expected to film, research, interview, direct and write scripts as well as producing engaging digital content for all our platforms. You’ll also have the ability to help lead and develop a team of production staff._ Because of the nature of the job, you must be highly flexible and ready to work with extremely sensitive material, both legally and editorially._

**Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience**:

- You will have :_
- The ability to work in a demanding and stimulating environment _
- A high level of motivation, flexibility and enthusiasm is required, as is initiative, creativity and flair_
- Experience of working on all types of news and current affairs _
- Genuine interest in Welsh issues_
- Willingness to embrace new ways of working_
