We are a small independent ecology consultancy based in Hertfordshire and Sussex. Our staff are
home-based and work on projects throughout the South-East and surrounding areas. We’re

diverse client base.

The role

We are seeking a reliable and highly motivated individual to assist our Hertfordshire team on either a six-month fixed term contract or permanent basis. This is an ideal opportunity for graduates looking to develop a career in ecological
consultancy. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to assist with all areas of our

**work, including**:
Carrying out ecological surveys and/or supporting senior team members.

Supervising ecological aspects of site work.

Collating and reviewing ecological information for desk studies.

Assisting with the production of reports.

Carrying out general administrative tasks, including project management and marketing.

**Essential**:
Some experience of undertaking protected species surveys, such as those for bats, great
crested newts or reptiles.

Be reliable, flexible, and willing to work unsociable hours.

Have excellent organisation skills.

Be located within an hour’s drive of our Hertfordshire office.
Have a car and be able to travel to sites throughout the South-East.

**Desirable**:
Hold a protected species survey licence.

Graduate membership of CIEEM.

Valid CSCS card.

Knowledge of GIS.

CIEEM and will hopefully be used to inform potential future roles within the company.
