Company - Low Voltage Switchgear Manufacturer

**Responsibilities**:

- Purchasing to a material list
- Booking in delivered kit into job bins
- Manage advice notes on our internal system as real time information
- Keeping office and shop floor staff updated on purchasing status in daily production meetings
- Working with suppliers, including chasing goods and confirming lead times
- Sourcing new suppliers, including supplier visits
- Negotiating pricing with suppliers
- Keeping stock room organised, in addition to monitoring stock levels
- Comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
- Comply with company Health and Safety procedures
- Reporting to and assisting the Commercial Director

Required skills
- Must have intermediate Microsoft office skills, specifically Outlook and Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills essential for internal and external dealings - must work well in a team
- Previous experience in a buying role greatly preferred
- Efficient and proactive, motivated when working on individual tasks
- Must be well organised, with good attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions from engineering teams
- Ability to work within time scales and under pressure

Hours
- Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm (1 Hour Unpaid Lunch)
- Friday 9am-2pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year
