Hours: Up to 35 per week
**Salary**: £11.42
Holiday: 20 days per year plus public holidays (pro-rata)

1. Purpose of Job
You will have responsibility for supporting people who have learning disabilities in varied placements, through our Wellbeing and Share Care services. You will be providing individualized support to people with complex needs. The nature of the post requires you to have a multi-skilled and flexible approach to the tasks required of you, a positive outlook to your role and reliability. You will be working in teams and lone working when appropriate..
There are core areas of work that need a particular focus and these are:
Supporting people with activities that will be appropriate to the person's identified interests and needs. These will be both community and building based in a wide variety of settings.
2.Main Activities
The support of people in a range of appropriate activities that are creative and based on the use of community and our own resources. Centered on the needs and interests of the person supported.
- Attend all relevant meetings and feedback in relation to meetings.
- Working alongside the team support workers and team leaders to ensure files are kept up to date
- Assist when necessary in transport arrangements including driving and escort duties.
- Assist when necessary at meal times
- Assisting people with all aspects of their personal care needs such as toileting.
- Ensure people’s well being in terms of physical safety and mental well
- being at all times through training and implementation of a Health & Safety policy.
- Covering colleagues work during illness or leave periods
- Attend training as directed by Manager
- Keep accurate paperwork in relation to all matters
- Maintain good channels of communication within the team.
