**Introduction**

Wefco, situated in Britannia Works in Gainsborough, are specialists in the manufacture of storage tanks, pressure vessels, refinery equipment & other bespoke bulk storage solutions.

Due to succesful growth, and the opening of a secondary facility, a fantastic opportunity has recently opened for a Production Foreman/ women.

As the Foreman you will play a crucial role in assisting and overseeing the production process, supervising a team of workers, and ensuring the timely and efficient completion of tank and vessel manufacturing projects.

You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities related to fabrication, assembly, and quality control.

This position will work closely with the Production Manager, Operations Manager, and team of Supervisors.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership**:Lead a team of production workers, including welders, fabricators, semi-skilled, and other skilled workers. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure that the team performs at a high level and meets production targets.
- **Project Management**:Review schedule production activities, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets. Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
- **Quality Control**:Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure that tanks and vessels meet industry specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. Conduct inspections and perform quality checks at various stages of production.
- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and best practices. Attend regular safety meetings, identify potential hazards, and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- **Technical Expertise**: Possess a strong understanding of tank and vessel manufacturing processes, including welding, fabrication, and assembly techniques. Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot issues to resolve any production challenges.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate production records, including travellers, material requirements and usage, and quality control documentation. Prepare regular progress reports and communicate project status to management and relevant stakeholders.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction. Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in tank and vessel manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience in tank and vessel manufacturing, with a strong background in fabrication, welding and assembly processes.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a diverse team and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with production planning and inventory management systems is a plus.

- Exceptional communicator and coordinator
