Role: Teaching Assistant in SEN, Primary and Secondary Schools

Location: Bolton and Stockport

**Salary**: £85 to £95 per day

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday - 8:20am to 3:45pm

Start: April/May

**The Schools you will be working in**:
Simply Education is working with several Schools in Stockport and Bolton that are looking for Teaching Assistants to work with students aged 3 to 19 years old. The children in the settings that you will be working in will have a variety of needs including ADHD, ASD, Hyper mobility issues, early childhood trauma and English as an additional language.

**The role**:
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who can provide support to pupils across Primary, Secondary, SEN Schools and Alternative Provisions to ensure that they are engaged during lessons and have support with their learning. The ideal Teaching Assistant will be an individual who is nurturing with the ability to build rapport quickly and establish great relationships with pupils. In this role, every day will be different and being able to adapt is an important skill that is required.

We are searching for individuals who engage well with the pupils and have strong behaviour management qualities. Pupils in the schools may have diagnosed SEND and SEMH. You must be able to build rapport with both pupils and school team members. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be calm and nurturing with the ability to build great relationships with pupils. Each day will be different from the last therefore being adaptable is very important.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Building nurturing and meaningful relationships with pupils with SEND
- Be comfortable working with small groups to support pupils with their learning.
- Experience and a good understanding of behaviour management and how to implement this into your practice
- Supporting with individualized student programs.
- Great personality who can engage with children
- Understand the different requirements of individual SEN and adapt accordingly
- A passion for education and for making a difference in education
- Additional skills such as Sport, Music and Art are a bonus

**Requirements**:

- An understanding of working with students with SEND
- Knowledge and understanding of vocational education and a passion for supporting outdoor learning
- Strong communication skills with pupils and an understanding of pupils behaviour patterns when experiencing complex needs and trauma
- Experience working with children with additional needs is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
- A good understanding of behaviour management and how to implement this into your practice.
