**MERCHANDISER - HYBRID WORKING**

The role of **Merchandiser** sits in our amazing **Merchandising & Supply Chain** department where you will be accountable for delivering all Merchandising KPI’s for a department of the Business. Managing a team of Assistants and Trainees with mínimal guidance to deliver sales and profit whilst managing stock and spend control. Understanding the wider Business strategy to inform and develop department plans for sales, profit and stock.
- Day to day as a _**_Merchandiser_**
- Delivers a seasonal range framework using sales & profit analysis and feed-in from internal and external parties to predict future opportunity
- Ensures the range is delivered to hit financial plans, adjusting as required as critical path progresses and drives their team to deliver actions
- Monitors performance of range against the original plan through reforecasting and takes action to drive additional opportunity and minimise risk
- Accountable for their departments plans as well as accuracy at all times across all systems and data points
- Works closely with Suppliers to share seasonal strategies and plans, communicating and updating regularly on business levels
- Presents their plans to key decision makers in critical path meetings using reasoned arguments & rationale to deliver sign off of their plans
- Accountable for their departments forecasting and resulting actions, striving for high accuracy and using all available data to inform their views
- Along with their Buyer, is accountable for the progression of the range for their department, ensuring on-time, profitable ranges
- Works alongside Supply Chain and Planning team to ensure stock is bought into the business with consideration to cash flow and capacity
- Accountable for stocks being in the right virtual warehouse/location to maximise availability and full price sell through
- Oversees trading for their department, taking product actions into current and future seasons
- Optimises the current season though OTB management and proactively addressing terminal stock risk, determining the most profitable solutions
- Holds accountability for the Department WSSI, driving business-wide visibility of all KPIs (Sales, Margin, Stock, Markdown, Intake)
- Accountable for ensuring markdown items are identified and prices agreed within parameters
- What we need you to have:_
- Has demonstrated ability and experience through an Assistant Merchandiser role or prior experience as a Merchandiser
- Shows high Commercial Acumen, Analytical skills with an ability to interpret facts and figures to identify risks and opportunities
- Is a strong and supportive line manager, able to delegate, coach and develop and act as a role model
- High planning and organisation skills required with the ability to plan their own and teams workload effectively
- Is able to demonstrate strong influence and persuasion skills using concrete examples to bring others on board with their proposals
- Is capable of presenting to various audiences, maintaining interest and adapting style to suit where required
- Shows high levels of proactivity and seizes opportunities to achieve better results for business benefit
- Is able to adapt (at speed where needed) to the needs of the Business and the Customer
- Always achieves high levels of accuracy and understands the knock on impact of inaccuracies to the business.
