GSL Education are in need of several **Cover Supervisors **for schools in the Bolton area.**
**Cover supervisors provide essential support when there is staff absence and are booked on a day to day basis, meaning that you can enjoy flexibility in your working pattern to suit your own circumstances.
**About Cover Supervisor Job Responsibilities**:

- To provide cover for a period of time during an absence in response to a request from the Cover Manager.
- To deliver a cover lesson in schools for required years/ages
- Attending pastoral team meetings, participating in team and staff meetings, and, if required, acting as a form tutor.
- Helping pupils as directed by their teachers with their welfare and education.
- To provide the greatest possible assistance to any students who may have questions about the steps and procedures.
- When it's possible, assist with exam supervision as directed by the examinations officer, working with the Cover Manager.
- Previous experience working as a **Cover Supervisor**:

- Led classes with up to 30 students
- Have the ability to swiftly and effectively set boundaries and be an excellent rapport builder.
- Experience from relevant classroom settings
- have the ability to make academic work enjoyable and enriching.
- Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service._
