Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant

We are looking for a Dispensary Assistant to join our team at R.J. Lad Pharmacy in Dukinfield, Cheshire.
The hours of this position will be 28 hours per week - Monday to Wednesday 2pm to 6pm, Thursday and Friday 9am to 6pm (with 1 hour for lunch between 1pm to 2pm). Following the completion of a successful 3-month probation period, there will be a requirement to work on Saturday between 9am to 1pm on a rota basis.

The role will include:

- Carry out dispensing duties under the supervision of the Pharmacist manager
- Ensure all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and in a timely manner
- Label, dispense and endorse prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure safe supply to patients in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Assist where necessary with the preparation of monitored dosage systems to benefit patients on multiple medication regimes.
- Respond appropriately to customer needs, politely and efficiently, by asking appropriate questions, following the Standard Operating Procedures for Sale of Medicines and Supporting Self-care.
- To maintain the pharmacy to a high standard.
- To monitor stock levels and adapt orders appropriately.
- Be qualified to NVQ2/3 in Pharmacy Services/Dispensing Assistant Course
- Have previous community pharmacy or retail experience
- Be willing to undertake the relevant training in Pharmacy Services if necessary
- Be able to deliver excellent customer service and work as part of a team
- Have good IT skills
