Content Writer

What we are looking for:
We have an amazing opportunity for an imaginative and enthusiastic digital content writer to put their stamp on our e-commerce business. Our ideal new team member will know how to use words to connect with our audience, creating persuasive copy that tells a story and sells.

You should be able to follow editorial guidelines, but, we are looking for someone to bring new and innovative ideas to the table.

The role suits someone with real creativity and flair who wants to take ownership of a creative aspect of the company. Because of the nature of some of the products we sell, a technical mindset or understanding would also be an advantage.

Your day to day responsibility will be to inspire customers with engaging content. As you grow in this position, we will look to use your skills to create blogs, landing pages, social content, and more.

As your career progresses, you'll spread your wings further. The role will allow your development into other key areas.

What you will be doing

Developing content for product descriptions for the company website.
Developing other digital copy.
Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies.
Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability.
Creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company's current content.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Fluent in English both verbal and written.
High level of accuracy when writing.
Detail orientated research skills.
Capable of working to deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Highly analytical with great attention to detail.
Able to work independently and prioritise tasks.
Working well as part of a team with colleagues and management.
Basic understanding of SEO and keywords is preferable but not essential.
