**LOCATION: CastleWood Holiday Park, Antrim **(Travel May Be Required to all other holiday park locations including Hilltop Holiday Park. Occasionally travel within the UK may be required for business purposes.)

**RESPONSIBLE TO**:Senior Manager

**Contract: Seasonal Est March 2023 - Dec 2023( Depending on business needs). Full time contract would be considered depending on business needs**

**Renumeration: £11 per hour* Negotiable depending on experience**

Job Summary:
The instructor’s role is to assist in successfully running the site and meeting targets. This may include any aspect of site operation including equipment, facilities, health and safety, customer care, sales and administration.

**Responsibilities**:
A CastleWood Tree Top Adventure instructor at all times, and in accordance with company procedures and training must:
**Health and Safety**
- Comply with all health and safety procedures and safe systems of work
- Ensure your own safety and those with whom you are working
- Only undertake tasks and use equipment that you have been specifically trained and authorised to do so.
- Ensure the safe operation of the course
- Report all accidents, significant incidents and rescues correctly
- Cary out course inspections during daily opening of the site and record all findings.

**Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)**
- Check harness and lanyard each time it is issued to and returned by a customer
- Fit and check customers harness correctly before commencing activity and at key interval stages - start of green, start of blue and before triple zip.
- Inspect and maintain site, PPE and other safety equipment, ensuring it is in good order
- Ensure site PPE is correctly serviced, reporting all faults where found
- Maintain the PPE and equipment records as required.
- Check your instructor PPE making sure your harness has correct equipment inventory before using in accordance with staff handbook) is in working order and is fitted correctly.
- Visually inspect the roperoller / tandem and all karabiners before attaching a participant

**Administration**
- Take telephone and face to face bookings in accordance with company policy and training.
- Follow company cash handling policy, ensure all payments are processed and receipted through the till.
- Ensure participants read and sign the acknowledgment of risk form before being issued with any PPE.
- Follow company signing in procedure including the deduction of break where applicable.

**Customer Service and Safety**
- Give a professional welcome to all TreeTop Adventure and wider CastleWoodHoliday Park customers.
- Ensure all participants are fully prepared to take part in the course and comply with company rules on weight, age, medical conditions and supervision.
- Conduct the safety brief and demonstration in accordance with company training and written rules.
- Confirm all participants have understood the briefing and are competent to participate in the activities.
- Maintain a constant awareness of all participants in your company, not only your group **,** offer assistance, guidance and encouragement at every opportunity.
- Manage the various ‘stations’ of work ensuring all access points are suitably secure or supervised to avoid unauthorised access to the course.
- Ensure all customers are safely connected onto the continuous belay system (CBS) trolley before accessing any ‘live zone’ (any point at height which is not protected by safety r
