We have a fantastic opportunity for a **Site Supervisor** to join our Industrial Biomass team at Villa Nursery.

The role will involve:

- Managing the sub-contractors on site for ongoing operation and maintenance or capital works/upgrades as required
- Managing and facilitating the biomass fuel supply to the site, managing suppliers to ensure a continuous supply of correct specification fuel, compliant with RHI and emissions requirements and keeping the Head of Biomass Operations informed
- Management and facilitation of receiving deliveries, and handling fuel onto the walking floor system where required utilising a tele-handler, and informing management where required
- Ensuring a high level of HSEQ performance on site, encouraging a strong HSEQ culture and adherence to HSEQ legislation and Group HSEQ policies
- Accurate and detailed report and record keeping of fuel supply, maintenance, testing, and HSEQ incidents; risk assessments and auditing, via our online HSEQ and service management systems
- Undertaking planned maintenance, attendance, testing, and record keeping ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry good practice governing LTHW, steam, feed water quality and biomass combustion
- Managing the records of inspections, maintenance routines and repairs including photographic records
- Monitoring feed water and emissions quality, and liaising with subcontractors
- Managing spares stock in a proactive manner to minimise plant ‘down time’ reporting stock levels to Head of Biomass Operations and facilitating agreed actions as required.
- Maintaining stock records and provide stock counts as required by the Finance team
- Liaising on site with the client’s engineering and maintenance teams, and maintaining excellent leves of communication and working relationship on site as required
- Good housekeeping, to 5S lean principles
- Remote monitoring, to be ensuring through check throughout the day as per target

What we are looking for:
An individual who has strong leadership skills and is who can partner effectively to drive high team engagement and performance in a positive way.

Experienced in asset management and supervising high value heat and steam generating plant and equipment, as well as operations and maintenance equipment of large industrial sites with a continual heat demand. The successful individual will also demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

- Technical/Engineering educational qualification
- Health and safety training or qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH
- Boiler operation accreditation scheme (BOAS) qualification for steam operator level is desirable but not essential as training can be provided
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in LTHW and steam systems including pumps, valves, hydraulics, controls, and steam generating plant
- Demonstratable experience of overseeing frontline mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
- Previous experience of contractual and sub-contractor relationship management in a high energy demand environment
- Experience in working with biomass boilers and with biomass fuel
- Excellent client management skills with the ability to determine the clients' expectations and confidently handle any issues in a professional way
- A strong decision maker, to be able to assess a situation, problem solve and confidently come up with the best course of action possible
- Resilient, proactive and takes responsibility
- Familiarity with on call working and being committed to the team on call rotation to respond to heating outages, loss of service or emergencies as required
- Has a high concern for ensuring excellent operational and safety standards and compliance
- A critical thinker, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
