HR Advisor

Description

As a HR Advisor at Company Shop Group (CSG) you will work with a variety of teams, managers, and key stakeholders to support with all employee relation aspects of the business.

Working collaboratively with the other HR Advisors and the wider People Team you will effectively and efficiently manage all aspects of employee relations, whilst providing excellent guidance, support and employment legislation advice to your stakeholders across the business to ensure first class delivery in all aspects of HR.

Aligning with departmental areas you will work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner to be an active participant in people-related project activities and support the implementation of business objectives.

**Requirements**:
Establishing functional relationships with key stakeholders so that discussions of people challenges are forthcoming
To provide generalist HR advice and support on terms and conditions of employment, HR policies and procedures and employee relations matters, with a view to resolving matters through effective and knowledgeable advice in a timely manner
Maintain systems and processes relating to case management, liaising with departments to ensure that paperwork is completed and returned and provide advice on those processes as required
Provide advice and guidance on occupational health referrals, absence management issues and return to work cases to stakeholders within the business
To provide HR and admin support to internal and external investigating officers in the management of casework; specifically investigations into conduct, capability and grievance matters
Work with the Senior HR Business Partner on organisational change including; restructures/redundancy/redeployment activity and any other project work within departments as required
To contribute to the review and development of HR policies and procedures in accordance within the legal framework of employment legislation
Any other reasonable management instruction
Ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and practices are upheld, whilst proactively encouraging your team to promote a culture of good HSE practice
Keep up to date with information relevant to your department and cascade this accordingly to your team
Actively promote and encourage the reporting of any near misses and accidents

KPIs

The effective delivery of key objectives set on an individual basis and for the people team
Working with the Senior HR Business Partner to improve efficiency and development of organisational capabilities. i.e., increased engagement, reduced turnover, increased retention and reduction of absenteeism through excellent people practices
Updating the MI dashboard on a weekly and monthly basis

Skills and experience

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
To be flexible and adaptable to support the needs of the business
Ability to effectively plan, organise and manage own workload whilst working to strict deadlines
A desire to continually focus on your own continued professional development
Experience of Employee Relations, especially case management
Ability to work with the highest levels of discretion
Experience of working with stakeholders and managers across multiple sites to provide expert advice and challenge the status quo
Proficient in Microsoft packages, with the ability to present information in a way that’s clear and accessible
Excellent communication skills

**Hours of work**: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

**Location**: Company Shop Limited, Wentworth Way, Wentworth Industrial Estate, Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S75 3DH

There will be a requirement to travel across our sites throughout the UK as and when needed
