This role includes working in several environments throughout the organisation predominately in our In Patient Centre (IPC), Active Intervention Centre (AIC).

Our hospitality team provides a hotel and restaurant style service to our patients. St Luke’s uses professional staff and demands exceptional standards. Mealtimes are not set and our patients can eat at any time of the day. Food is a crucial part of the care our patients receive and our kitchen team offer locally sourced fresh food to cover all tastes and dietary necessities. The menus are fully flexible taking into account fully the wishes of each individual patient.

Standards, attention to detail and professionalism are essential at all times for this role. As part of our hospitality team you will be responsible for all areas of food and drink service with special emphasis on our patient, client and visitor’s needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Caring Service: Provide a professional, courteous, and caring service to all customers of the Hospitality department, including patients, visitors, volunteers, and staff.
- Nutrition Support: Explain food and drink options to patients and clients, ensuring tailored meals, drinks, and snacks are provided in accordance with dietary needs and clinical recommendations.
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily fluid intake in partnership with the IPC nursing team after specific training, and participate in handover sessions with clinical teams to ensure patient needs are met.
- Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment, adhere to infection control protocols, and use personal protective equipment as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work efficiently as part of a team, guiding and supporting Hospitality volunteers and new employees to maintain service standards.

**Requirements**:

- Good knowledge of food hygiene
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service skills
- NVQ level 2 in Hospitality or equivalent or willing to undertake
- NVQ in Customer Service or equivalent or willing to undertake
- Commitment to health and safety regulations, confidentiality, and St Luke’s policies and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and dedication to providing exceptional service.
