**What you will be doing**:
You will win and retain profitable business from brokers in your assigned region. You will improve your underwriting and trading skills and those of other Underwriters within the Underwriting Centre. This role will also involve developing helpful relationships with key brokers. This will include:

- Delivery of New Business financial plan
- Preparation and delivery/trading of allocated renewals
- Deliver quality broker service
- Develop effective working relationships with Underwriting Centre to support delivery of objectives
- Effective usage and updating Tools and Systems
- Act as a referral point for lower level PUA’s
- Support the NIG business change strategy and off-shore model
- Improve own contribution through active self-development
- Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to own role and in line with the DLG Insurance Risk framework and associated governance frameworks
- Underwrite in accordance with PUA and Underwriting Guidelines to meet required profit targets

**What we are looking for**:

- Previous Motor Trade and Motor Fleet underwriting experience would be preferrable but not essential
- Experience within Commercial Insurance
- Excellent communication skills - you will be able to deliver a high-quality service to our brokers and build strong external relationships along with company partners.
