Business Analyst - Banking (rate : to £540/day via an umbrella company only)

This is a great and potentially long term opportunity with a major global financial services institution This role will involve working on major banking technology programmes where you will working on projects such analysing the Impact of decommissioningor making enhancements to EUCs (End User Computing Tools) and analysing the impact of a major migration to Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Ops systems.

The role will involve:
Working closely with stakeholders and the IT teams to analyse and design business solutions and to produce technical requirement documentation

Participating in working group discussions and workshops

Work on multiple workstreams within the projects liaising with multiple teams to deliver assignments and meet deadlines

Proactively identifying, specifying and documenting business requirements from key business stakeholders

Managing business stakeholders

Gap Analysis between current and future state

Interacting with business teams to define, analyse and prioritise business requirements.

Performs impact assessment/gap analysis in order to convert business requirements into functional requirements

Works with internal technology partners and vendors to identify technology solutions

Undertakes functional solution design that can be implemented within projects scope/timeline

You will require the following:
Derivative and Securities product knowledge eg REPO, Equities, FX, Money Market

Experience in working with a complex Matrix of business SMEs & IT teams.

Good Knowledge of the MS-Office suite including MS Project experience.

Ability to analyse and describe a 'problem' simply and clearly.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines

Any exposure to TradeWeb, DowJones apps, Triana, IHS Markit, BNYM BCD would eb an advantage
