Location: Warwickshire
Length of contract: 2 years (24 months)
Fixed term contract:£57,310-£69,267 per annum
Inside IR35**
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Procurement /Commercial Lead to work for a leading government organisation based in Warwickshire, who will be responsible for running a profit and loss revenue and capital side of projects**.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
Responsible for leading in IT Commercial management across Digital Services to enable efficient delivery of Digital Strategy and departmental goals.
Responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Digital Services Vendor Management practice and processes, ensuring rules are adhered to, vendor and partner governance is in place and effective contract and services performance reviewsundertaken. Supplier relationships to be leveraged and overall value for money obtained.
Lead on cost & budget management, enabling evolution and maturity through continuous improvement to ensure the ethos of good commercial practice becomes part of Digital Services culture.
Have specific vendor licence expertise & knowledge around core products and Enterprise Agreements (i.e. Microsoft EA) and have good experience and understanding of different licences types (per CPU, server, user or consumption based) to ensure value for moneyand efficiency in purchases and renewals.
Working in partnership with colleagues in the Finance and Contracts and Procurement teams to develop, implement and maintain the appropriate strategy and frameworks for Digital Services financial management and future strategic vendor portfolio.
Responsible for budget planning, forecasting and reporting across Digital Services providing leadership on all commercial matters (e.g. capital bids, resources and various funding submissions).
**Skill set needed**
Proven track record of commercial, service and financial management roles within in Digital Services Environments.
Experience gained in medium to large scale organisation working with Software assets Management, licence entitlement and Management.
Complex Licensing arrangements experience in large Enterprise Agreements and renewals.
IT supply chain/vendor management experience in managing a wide portfolio of third party contracts.
Experience of analysis and decision making requiring financial / commercial awareness, within an IT environment.
Running or participating in competitive exercises in a public sector context government including quotations, tenders and framework competitions.
Experience leading a commercial negotiating team.
Technical understanding and awareness, ideally gained through hands on IT experience (at some point in career) to be able to appropriately challenge and discus technical options and related contracts or costs
Day to day team management, including performance management and mentoring
Experience coordinating budget setting and reforecasting.
Experience implementing good practice in supply chain management, procurement and purchasing.
