Treasury Assistant

Our client a leading distribution business that navigates millions of items into our favourite supermarket/retailers/critical businesses each year is recruiting for a Finance/Treasury Assistant.
Job role
- Processing and matching cashbook transactions in SAP.
- Processing of twice weekly payment runs, ad-hoc payments and settlement of payroll liabilities (e.g. PAYE, NI etc).
- Preparation of bank and cashpool reconciliations on a periodic basis.
- Maintenance of daily cashflow file.
- Perform administrative duties for banking facilities, including review and update of bank mandates.
- Tax analysis for corporation tax return, P11D, PSA etc.
- Preparation of VAT return for review by Tax and Treasury manager.
- Allocation of invoices to applicable cost centres.
- Analysis of expenses and calculation of accruals and prepayments for specific expenses.
- Preparation of assigned balance sheet reconciliations, including monthly variance analysis and rectification of any highlighted errors or miscoding.
- Input and support in preparation of various external reporting and/or regulatory returns (e.g. ONS, internal and external audit).
- Work closely with the wider finance team and also cross-functionally with other departments to deliver value-added outputs and resolve any relevant queries.
- Assistance in annual stock take at our Toton site.
- Able to work under pressure, prioritise workload and deliver high-quality output to tight deadlines.
- Highly analytic, excellent problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
- Strong IT skills with experience of SAP and excel an advantage.
- Good communicator and a strong team player.
- Flexible, enthusiastic and robust.
- Inquisitive with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering efficiencies.
