**The Trustees of Steel City Schools Partnership are looking to recruit 2 / 3 permanent Clerk to Governors to start as soon as possible. We have vacancies supporting schools in the north and in the south of the city.**

**The working pattern is 12.5hrs or 10hrs per week / 39 weeks per year.**

**Salary information**:Grade 5, £25,878 - £28,371 (pro rata)

Actual part time salary 12.5hrs post: £7,518 - £8,244 / Actual part time salary 10hrs post: £6,016 - £6,595

We are looking for enthusiastic and organised individuals to provide administrative support, advice and guidance to local governing bodies on governance, constitutional and procedural matters. Clerks contribute towards the efficient and effective functioning of governance across our Trust by providing:

- Administrative and organisational support
- Guidance to ensure the local governing bodies works in compliance with its legal and regulatory framework
- Advice on procedural matters relating to the operation of the local governing bodies.

We are looking for people who can communicate effectively and inspire others to contribute to excellent governance in our Trust, and who are willing to undertake training. Clerks will be working in a team under the Trust’s Governance Officer.

**Post 1**:
12.5 hours a week (term time only) located in the north of Sheffield supporting 5 schools (Fox Hill, Lound, Mansel, Monteney & Windmill Hill)

**Post 2**:
10 hours a week (term time only) located in the south of Sheffield supporting 4 schools (Bankwood, Brook House, Greenhill & Woodseats)

These positions are to start as soon as possible. Working patterns to be negotiated. The roles will include some evening working to support local governing body meetings.

**Applicants should**:

- Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills with children and adults
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with parents and carers who may not have English as their first language
- Be able to work within tight deadlines and cope well under pressure
- Be able to work well independently and use their initiative when completing tasks
- Have competent levels of literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Be flexible
- Have good organisational skills
- Be highly motivated and hard working
- Be committed to providing an excellent administrative service in their own Academy and across the Trust.
