Cafe Assistant

**Job Introduction**

The Gilbertine Kitchen, established in 2019, is a family-run business based within a beautiful estate in the heart of the Cotswolds. Serving cakes, coffee, breakfast and lunch options to suit all dietary requirements. We currently have an opportunity for a Café Assistant/ Barista to join our growing team.

This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a great team as we approach the opening our our new branch within the heart if Tetbury. The work is fast paced for much of the day so it is essential that we work quickly but with good attention to detail. The successful applicant will need to be reliable, friendly and customer-focused and enjoy working within a small team.

**Role Responsibility**
- Assisting with the preparation of and the serving of beverages to customers, ensuring good presentation and great customer service at all times
- Using the Square till system to serve customers in a friendly manner
- Check stock levels and replenish when necessary
- Ensure good knowledge of products on sale
- Ensure the café/restaurant is presented to a high standard throughout the day and carry out a thorough cleaning at the end of the day along with the team
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed

Essential
- Good barista knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy
- Ability to travel to Tetbury
- Weekend Availability

Desirable
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety
- Cafe Assistant (1 Year Prefered)

The pay range reflects both age and experience, but there is plenty of opportunity to join us and progress with the training provided.

Pay: From £12.00 per hour
