Picking & Packaging Team Member

Due to our continuing growth, we are looking for additional enthusiastic, hard-working and friendly colleagues to join our award-winning team in producing and distributing our Pates, Dips and other ready to eat food.
**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Ensure that the correct labels are on the correct products
- Ensure that the dates on products being dispatched are accurate
- Accurately match orders to boxes and/or pallets
- Ensure that boxes securely sealed and pallets are securely constructed
- Raise any discrepancies in a timely manner, using knowledge and initiative and escalating to a Team Leader as appropriate
- At all times work in a safe manner, and consistently adhered to Health and Safety processes and guidelines
- Safely move pallets and boxes using the pallet trucks
- Book deliveries accurately onto the goods in log and passing the associated paperwork to Admin in a timely manner
- Escalate any delivery discrepancies to the relevant Manager in a timely manner
- Liaise with the Senior Team Leader to ensure that all deliveries are stored in the correct location and correctly labelled
- Safely moving stock between storage areas in a timely manner
- Flexibly take on any additional tasks required by the business

**Knowledge and Experience Required**
- Proven experience of picking and/or packing products
- Be confident working in a food environment
- An understanding of Health and Safety appropriate to this role
- The ability to work well within a team
- Able to pay close attention to detail and follow instructions precisely
- Experience of working within a food environment would be beneficial
**Salary**: £10.50-£11.00 per hour (£9.00 - £9.50 per hour start rate for 16 to 18 year olds)
