**Job Title: Bank Guitar Teacher**

**Location: The Shires - Oakham School, Oakham, Rutland**

**Salary: TBC**

**Contract: Permanent; Term time**

**Are you a Guitar Teacher committed to improving the lives of children and young people?**

We are looking to recruit a Guitar Teacher to work on a contractual basis within our team. You will deliver your lessons on a one to one or small group basis to secondary pupils with autism and associated needs. You will have previous experience of working with pupils with special education needs.

We need teachers who have a passion for working with children, have a compassionate, caring manner and a mature, non-judgemental approach to life. You will be a clear communicator and resilient.

Set in the heart of Oakham town, Oakham Shires School is an independent day school for autistic young people, and those with associated needs, offering specialist secondary education for pupils aged 11 - 18.

Recently opened as a day school, we are a growing school who are looking to double our pupil numbers over the coming year, meaning we need to recruit passionate and dedicated staff to support our developing pupil cohort.

Our aim for the young people coming to The Shires is quite simple; we want every young person to progress developmentally, educationally and socially. We want them to develop an understanding of themselves and to experience what success feels like. Through these actions, we can equip every young person with the skills and knowledge they need to go on to succeed.
