Finance Officer

**FINANCE OFFICER / CAMBORNE - PERMANENT VACANCY**

**Location**: Camborne, Cornwall

**Assignment**: Permanent Contract

**Hours**: Monday to Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm (16:00pm finish on a Friday)

**Salary**: £26,603 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer based in Camborne on a full time permanent contract.

You will be the first point of contact for students, parents and staff within the Finance Office (10:00am - 176:30pm and to provide cover for Reception (08:00am - 10:00am)

**Duties as a Finance Officer**:

- Carry out work effectively and appropriately as directed by the Line Manager
- Ensure timely completion of all tasks and adherence to deadlines
- Operation and management of the Purchase Ledger and Accounts Recieveable function
- Responsibility for receiving, checking, banking, reconciliation and issuing of recipes for all monies received in all forms
- Assisting with the reconciliation of Credit Card statements
- Prepare and upload BACs payment runs and issue remittance advices
- The management of petty cash floats
- Preparing documents for and supporting annual audit
- Overseeing the issuing and recharging of stationary and miscellaneous supplies to all department, ensuring appropriate replenishment of stocks as necessary
- To be aware and adhere to School policies, maintain confidentiality at all times

**About you**:

- Excellent personal and communication skills and a highly professional manner
- Minimum of 2 years finance related work experience
- Relevant Accountancy or Bookkeeping qualification
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- AAT qualification would be desirable
- Previous work experience within a school would be desirable
