Senior Invigilator

We are looking to recruit a Senior Invigilator at our Havant and South Downs campuses to play a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the exams/assessment process at the College. The postholder will ensure the exams are run in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), the awarding body and HSDC regulations and previous invigilation experience is required.
The postholder must be available to work on Fridays, with flexibility around the rest of the working week. You will be required more heavily during the months of May and June however there is also work throughout the year.We are looking for people who have the ability to work under pressure with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
**About the role**
Hourly rate: £13.29
Contract type: Permanent, Casual contract
**You will be responsible for**
- To work as part of the college invigilation team and maintain a high standard of student care and supervision in an exam environment
- Allocate work to invigilators in the main hall. Supervise the work of the invigilators in set area by the Examinations Officer.
- Refer any queries/issues to the Examinations Officer, and to contribute ideas for improvements to systems and procedures to enhance team performance.
- Ensure exam room is set up and complies with JCQ, awarding body and HSDC regulations.
**You will need**
- Invigilation experience
- Experience of working in education (desirable)
- English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE Grade C) or above
- An attention to detail
- Flexibility of working hours (this may include evening invigilation requests and must include Fridays)
- The ability to liaise with college staff at all levels
