What’s in it for you:

As a Senior Officer, you’ll make a positive impact on the provision of a comprehensive and efficient planning service, providing expert advice and technical input into a wide variety of planning functions.

Your knowledge of trees and hedges will contribute an important role in conserving the natural heritage that makes Dorset so characteristic.

What you can expect to be doing:
You will be one of two Senior Officers that report to the Tree Team Leader. Alongside another Senior Tree Officer, you will lead and manage Tree Officers covering the eastern or western part of Dorset Council’s area.

About you:
Your specialist knowledge in development management, coupled with good people management skills, will be instrumental in promoting suitable development within Dorset. With a qualification in, and a depth of knowledge of arboriculture relevant to the post, you will play an important role in preserving the unique arboreal landscape that defines our region.

**Further Information**:
This position requires regular site visits, this means that there is a requirement for a vehicle (or transport deemed to be suitable by the council) to be available on most working days to carry out normal duties.

This is a full-time, permanent role at 37 hours per week.

This post requires significant travel. You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.

This role is UK based and we will need to establish your Right to Work as part of the appointment process.
