Equine Groom Apprentice

This is a vacancy at an International event yard with horses ranging from 3 years old to 5* event horses. Andrew is a top event rider with a lovely string of horses with his top horse aiming for Badminton 2023 Jobs will include all yard duties, riding and event opportunities and the chance to bring your own horse

Yard duties will include:

- Turning out and bringing in
- Mucking out
- Feeding, watering and haying
- Grooming
- Clipping and trimming
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times
- Bandaging
- Tacking up
- Lunging/long rein
- Riding/hacking
- Attending shows/events

**Desired skills**
- Must be able to work alone at times and as part of a team
- Applicants must be confident to ride fit and fast horses.
- Good communication

**Desired qualifications**
- GCSEs or equivalent in maths and English are desired

**Training**
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.

**Salary**: From £4.81 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
