Pastoral & Safeguarding Assistant

**Vacancy Description**:
**Starting March 2023 or as soon as possible after (Full time) 30 hours per week, term time only; 8.45am - 3.15pm per day**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to support the behaviour, safeguarding and pastoral welfare of our pupils. The role will also cover attendance.
**The role would include**:
- Supporting with day to day safeguarding needs.
- Liaising with designated safeguarding leads in school.
- Supporting children with behaviour.
- Investigating and recording incidences in school.
The primary role would be pastoral although would also involve support in class if needed. Additional external training and support from the Inclusion Lead would be provided.
- Be flexible and organised, they should have high expectations of themselves and their pupils
- Work well as part of a team.
- Be positive and enthusiastic.
- Be sympathetic to the needs of others.
- Have a positive attitude to personal development and training.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have previous experience working with children/young people.
- Have knowledge of child protection / safeguarding procedures.
Visits are positively encouraged prior to interview.
