An opportunity has arisen for **Resource Planner and Programmer** within one of the world's largest Highways Maintenance Organisation.
**PORPOSE OF ROLE**
To provide support and cover for the pre-construction manager.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide support to the pre-construction manager, updating and monitoring progress of tasks
- Provide holiday and sickness cover as required, for the pre-construction manager
- Update and monitor the work program, using the excel tool provided
- Ensure materials and resource required are available to carry out the tasks required before programming the tasks
- Provide the program information to the individual members of the team, utilising the software packages available.
- Review and monitor the process for works programming to identify improvements to the process and software packages
- Ensure the details of jobs completed are passed on to the administration team to update databases and financial details
- Monitor the on-site checks carried out by Supervisors and check updates to the program have been carried out.
- Liaise with the Principal Engineer and the design team to ensure work streams match up with resource availability and materials
- Provide support to the design and supervisor team as required.
- To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management.
**EDUCATION**
A good standard of education with GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths and a Science.
**EXPERIENCE**
- A work programming background.
A proficient user of Microsoft Excel software.
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSET**
A good understanding of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft packages
A team player
Flexible in terms of hours worked and attitude
