Trainee Cbt Practitioner

We have an exciting opportunity for a place on a Children’s and Young People’s Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Recruit to Train programme funded by NHS England and delivered by the University of Derby. The post and training starts in January 2024.

Training will cover the evidence-base for CBT, assessment, and cognitive behavioural treatment strategies for internalising disorders in children and young people. Trainees will gain a critical understanding of the CYP model of service change, outcome monitoring, and fundamentals of evidence-based psychological therapies to common mental health problems in childhood and adolescence (anxiety, depression, and conduct problems).

Rotherham CAMHS Psychological Therapies pathway is a multidisciplinary pathway and interventions are based on a variety of models including CAT, DDP, EMDR, CBT, family therapy, psychotherapy and art therapy. We have a positive culture of valuing the contributions and professional backgrounds of the different team members and of working together and supporting each other. We also have good working relationships with our colleagues in the other CAMHS pathways.
