Childcare Practitioner

**The job itself**:
We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and experienced practitioner to work term time in our busy (Good with outstanding areas) Day Nursery. We offer childcare places to children between the ages of 2-5 years from 8:45am - 3:30pm.

Marshlands Childcare is an extremely busy setting and you would be expected to work at a fast pace and to a high standard, however you will receive full support from knowledgeable practitioners and coaching from your Manager and Deputy Manager as you settle into a very welcoming team.

You should hold at least a level 2 Childcare qualification and be able to be flexible to meet the needs of the nursery.

You will support a safe and stimulating learning environment for children and their carer’s and demonstrates a good understanding of how to motivate and engage children with their development and learning.

Do you like to dance in the rain and jumping in muddy puddlesare you an expert at mud pies and be that good assistant, being able to observe, understand and respond to the children supplying the useful language that they needCan you be a superhero one minute, and a fairy princess making potions the next, every day at Marshlands Day Nursery is a new adventure.

You will need sound knowledge of how to safeguard children and protect them from harm.

You should have experience of supporting parents and an understanding of, and commitment to, working with parents as first educators of their children.

You will act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.

You will need to have knowledge and experience of observation, assessment, and planning within the EYFS.

You will need to have good communication and listening skills and the ability to inspire and empower people.
