**PURPOSE**:We have an opening for an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team. The role will be to support the AP Supervisor & other members of the team in the day-to-day functions within the Finance Department ensuring adequate control in accounting systems and procedures of A&K. This role will record and maintain financial transactions for A&K Europe’s purchase ledger.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Processing of direct cost invoices. This involves checking invoices to the travel booking system, posting them to our accounting system, and authorising for payment.
- Reconciling supplier Statements
- Assistance with the Purchase Ledger inbox process.
- Ensuring that appropriate accounting processes, systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
- Dealing with queries internal & external
- Exporting invoices into accounts ledgers
- Assisting with Verified Bank Details & Payment runs
- Assisting the AP Supervisor, Management Accountant and Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Able to work on own initiative.
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Adaptable to a changing environment.
- Good written communication skills.
- Intermediate excel skills (desirable)
- A team player, able to support others it the team where required and take ownership of own role.
