Within the Centre for Applied and Inclusive Health Research sits the Living Well Across the Life Course (LWALC) research cluster.

**This is a part-time 0.6fte, temporary 3 month contract**:
Within the Centre for Applied and Inclusive Health Research sits the Living Well Across the Life Course (LWALC) research cluster. LWALC have adopted a life course approach to the promotion of healthy lifestyles and prevention of ill health and chronic disease. In contrast to a disease-oriented approach (that typically focuses on one condition at one life stage), a life course approach places emphasis on key stages, settings, and transitions where opportunities for promoting health and wellbeing exist. Accordingly, our current research encompasses projects with children and young people, reproductive-aged women (including pregnant women), and older adults.

LWALC are a multi-disciplinary team that includes expertise in exercise science, nutrition, biomechanics, physiology, epidemiology and biostatistics, behavioural psychology, religion and culture, and education. We are committed to designing, conducting, and disseminating inclusive research, that will positively impact upon the health and wellbeing of populations who are often underserved and underrepresented in research and healthcare.

As a research assistant within LWALC, you will support research conducted by members of the cluster, with the primary emphasis of your work being on projects involving reproductive-aged women. We are investing in a Research Assistant post (3.0 days/week for 3 months) which will entail a range of research activities, including writing literature reviews, analysing data sets, and contributing to report/publication writing.

You will have experience of applied research, with relevant and appropriate research methodologies. You will have research skills including literature review, data analysis, and reporting and disseminating. You will have strong and flexible teamwork skills and good time management skills. Previous experience of working within PCOS would be beneficial, but not an essential requirement.
