**Profile**

Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, is a market leader in the Hospitality Industry.They manufacturer and fit out hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza.

**Job Purpose**

We will provide training in both the technical and financial skills required, so that you can be responsible for estimating a wide range of furniture products.

**Responsibilities but not limited to (once trained): -**
- Evaluate a client’s designs and decide on the most effective way to bring them to life.
- Learn and develop skills to value engineer quotations to provide customers with best value alternatives.
- Establishing costs which accurately reflect your chosen methodology.
- Obtain best value quotations from material suppliers to populate costs for estimates.
- Working with our in house production team to determine labour costs for the furniture.
- Identify and suggest new suppliers to the Company.
- Understanding and interpreting client’s drawings and tender documents.
- Working with the buying department to understand actual versus estimated costs.
- Continuous interaction with our manufacturing and design teams to continually develop estimating skills and knowledge.

**Essential Skills & qualifications**
- IT Literate
- particularly Excel
- Hands on experience in furniture manufacture would be an advantage
- Attention to detail
- Ability to organise & prioritise tasks
- Appreciation of the need to get the job done on time and to the correct standard
- Ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative
- Actively develops strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues
- Good communicator, able to communicate at all levels
- Willingness to learn
- Flexible approach and can-do attitude.
