Waggin & Walkin is a well-established award winning company offering professional dog walking & pet care services across Milton Keynes.

**We are seeking a passionate, responsible, reliable dog-loving walker to join our fun professional team **( ideally living within 2.5 miles of Oxley Park, Shenley Brook End, and surrounding estates) who can work between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday - Friday**.**

**Having a 5 door vehicle (hatchback, estate, 4x4) and being willing to transport dogs safely within it is a must**

This role is open to all individuals but would suit those looking for part time hours, individuals who work from home with flexible hours, or those with daytime hours available. Parents with children in school are particularly suited to dog walking but would need to have childcare cover in the term holidays as dog walking happens all year round.

**Hours**:Our doggies are normally walked between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. You will be offered variable hours within these times.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pick up and transport dogs safely to and from their walks and homes in your car.
- Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes in all weather conditions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs under your care.
- Follow specific instructions regarding each dog's walking route, routines, and health needs.
- Provide exercise and mental stimulation for the dogs during walks.
- Ensure the safety of the dogs you are walking and anyone else around you
- Remove pet waste.
- Take photos and vidoes of the dogs for their owners and update them regularly.
- Give fresh water, wipe paws and towel wet dogs down.
- Cover for team sickness/holiday/ad-hoc bookings.
- Happy to work alone or buddy up with one of the team.

**What does a dog walker NEED TO BE?**
- Ideally living within 3 miles of Oxley Park, Shenley Brook End, & surrounding estates.
- Own a suitable 5 door vehicle (hatchback, estate, 4x4)
- Have a massive love for all animals.
- Experience with dogs and able to walk all breeds confidently.
- Happy to walk solo and group walks.
- Super reliable, very flexible, punctual and physically fit for walking.
- Ability to handle lifting dogs in and out of your vehicle if required.
- Can make good decisions and have plenty of common sense
- Enthusiastic, happy & bubbly.
- Happy to Complete our online pet first aid course.
- Undergo training as required.
- Happy being self-employed
- Have a current DBS check or be willing to undertake one if offered the position.
- Enjoy the rewarding experience of working with furry companions while promoting their health and happiness

**This role will be buildable as the business grows. **Hours and income are not the same each week, they will be varied, and applicants must be happy to work flexible hours as demand can change week on week. There is no guarantee how quickly you will be offered more regular set hours and how long it will take for your diary to fill up whilst we build our client list for you. This role would only suit someone who doesn't need to earn a guaranteed set amount each month.

A willingness to engage with the team and provide emergency support to other local walkers should this arise is desirable.

You will be self-employed, and will join the team as a sub-contractor. Full training, insurance, and ongoing support provided.
