**Funeral Service Assistant and Masonry Assistant**

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and empathetic individual to become a Funeral Service Assistant and Masonry Assistant to join our team.

As a Funeral Service Assistant, you will provide support to our team to ensure each funeral is carried out exactly to the family's wishes. This involves taking responsiblity and caring for the deceased, driving vehicles, acting as a bearer and taking part in an out of hours on call rota, 1 week in 3, to assist familes in need. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and commitment to working outside usual office hours.

As a Masonry Assistant, you will be there to work with our qualified fixer masons remove and fit memorials in cemetries and churchyards. Dismantling memorials to undertake restoration work along with working on new memorials. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and a keen eye for detail.

**Experience and attributes**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift heavy weights on a regular basis
- High attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team, with third parties and on your own
- To commit and being readily available to undertake an out of hours on call rota ( 1 week in 3)
- To be able to attend out of hours duties in a timely manner
- A full UK driving licence
- Adhere to all aspects of health and safety
- Resilience to working under pressure
- Working in all weathers including cold environments
- To carry out duties The Company sees fit to ensure the smooth operation of the business

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
