**The Role**

We are looking for a Treasury Assistant to join our growing Finance team on a permanent basis. The primary function of the role is to aid with the daily treasury functions of the CAA and its subsidiaries CAAI and ASSI. Regular activities include the posting of daily cash transactions, the preparation/processing of outgoing payments and monitoring of daily cash management activities. You will be working collaboratively with multiple teams across the CAA and will be a key point of contact in the Finance team for queries sent into the shared treasury mailbox.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

- Posting of Bank statements and allocation transaction to suspense accounts
- Journaling of daily cash transactions from a variety data sources into SAP Business By Design.
- Preparation/processing of both UK and foreign payments
- Monitoring of daily cash management activities
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies with bank and suspense account reconciliations
- Assisting with a programme of process improvement activities and adhoc treasury projects
- Resolve and respond to queries sent into the Treasury mailbox from a wide range of internal stakeholders
- Coordination, review, and processing of refund requests
- A team of 5 others, including two other Treasury Analysts
- A variety of finance teams such as Credit Control, Accounts Payable and Management Accounts
- Regular engagement with departments across the business to help identify and allocate receipts

**About You**
- Strong analytical skills, with a good eye for detail, and comfortable in managing & processing large data sets
- Experience in posting back statements to accounting systems and allocating transactions as appropriate
- Strong communication skills and an ability to explain problems with clarity
- Good organisational skills and an ability to manage and prioritise their own workload
- Intermediate Excel skills are essential and any experience with ERP finance systems would be advantageous (preferably SAP Business ByDesign)
- Professional qualifications are not essential but AAT or similar would be beneficial

**Additional Information**

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.

To be vetted we will usually expect a reasonable period of residency in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken. For this role this will need to be 5 years.
