Microbiology Laboratory Assistant

Living Planet Limited is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to assist our Senior Fermentation Scientist in managing the day to day workload of our fermented herb production and general duties.

Living Planet develop and manufacture high quality food supplements. At our Dunsfold Park premises we carry out the fermentation of herbs, production of final products and the research and development of further products and processes.

The role will be varied and include all aspects of fermentation from preparation to final product analysis. As a team member of a small company you will be expected to be hands on in all areas of work and be able to work on your own initiative. There will be a physical aspect to the work including the occasional lifting of weights up to 25kg.

**Requirements**:

- Previous laboratory experience, preferably with a background in microbiology
- Understanding of quality control and hygiene procedures
- Minimum A level qualifications
- Strong work ethic and team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen eye for detail in all areas
- Knowledge of Excel and other key software
- Own transport due to the remote location

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
