Finance Manager

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Reporting management figures (profit & loss / balance sheet)
- Integrate remote site (Taiwan) accounts into above
- Preparation of year end accounts for external audit
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cashflow forecasting
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Bank reconciliations and transfers
- Customs and Excise - VAT returns
- Payroll and associated Tax and National Insurance contributions
- Personnel benefits - Administrator of Pension schemes
- P11D completion & submission
- Renewal and review of Insurance Policies
- Credit Control and litigation where necessary
- Staff expenses payment and analysis
- Monitoring x rates and dealing with Forex brokers
- Quarterly CAPEX and other returns to National Statistics Office
- Authorise and transmit all supplier payments
- Arrange currency / travellers’ cheques for overseas travel by management
- Supervision and support of Accounts Assistant - see "Finance Assistant Job Spec"
- Financial Analysis of Bills of Materials and of ongoing trading
- Ad Hoc enquiries
- Required from time to time to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business on a short-term basis, e.g. holiday or sickness cover

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Fully qualified CCAB or qualified by experience
- Intermediate Excel Skills and Microsoft Office
- Experience of using MRP/Accounts software (Sage, SAP, xVP etc.)
- Good collaborator, investigative, hands-on approach, willing to develop and learn
- Small company experience
- Respect confidentiality in all matters
- Respect requirements of Data Protection Act 2018 (EU: GDPR)
- Good communicator; striving for best practice in all areas; accurate attention to detail
- Inter-organisational and occasional outside customer contacts
- Will work with other entities as required
- Will travel occasionally for training
