**Job description**

This is a part-time remote role as a Common Entrance Tutor (11+/CAT-4/UKiset) at Xinlung Group Ltd. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to students preparing for Common Entrance exams including 11+, CAT-4, and UKiset assessments. Your day-to-day tasks will include developing lesson plans, delivering personalised instruction, monitoring student progress, and providing feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals. Tutors at Prominent Education also have the opportunity to create educational content in the form of articles, learning resources and assessments.

**Job Title: Common Entrance Tutor (11+/CAT-4/UKiset)**

**Start Date**: ASAP

**Working hours& Patterns**: Part time, Weekends and Evenings

**Salary**: £20 an hour

**Who are we?**

At Prominent Education, part of the Xinlung Group, we help students to achieve their goals through a series of services. Currently, we are experiencing an unprecedented demand from our well-established client base for one-to-one and small-group tuition in English, 11+, CAT-4 and UKiset. We are looking to recruit experienced online tutors to join our team. Our educators deliver high-quality, bespoke sessions to our students.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experiences**:

- Essential_
- A minimum of 5+ years of tutoring experience.
- Prior experience as a tutor with a focus on Common Entrance exams
- A university degree
- Able/ willing to provide an enhanced DBS check
- Desirable_
- Experience in English and a Foreign Language EFL
- The ability to speak Mandarin is highly advantageous but not essential
- Excellent knowledge of the 11+, CAT-4, and UKiset assessments
- A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, TEFL, CELTA etc)
- Skills_
- Excellent knowledge of the 11+, CAT-4, and UKiset assessments
- Ability to develop engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and the ability to work with students of varying abilities
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to students
- Proficiency in using technology for remote tutoring

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct tutoring sessions with students, focusing on Common Entrance exam preparation and other relevant assessments.
- Tailor lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
- Provide support and guidance to students in English and Foreign Language EFL if applicable, leveraging language expertise.
- Assess student progress and understanding through regular quizzes, tests, and assignments, using knowledge of 11+, CAT-4, and UKiset assessments.
- Maintain records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and feedback for documentation and tracking purposes.
- Utilise technology for remote tutoring sessions, ensuring seamless delivery of instruction and engagement with students.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and encouragement in supporting students of varying abilities and backgrounds.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £35.00 per hour
