We are recruiting experienced, qualified social workers to work in our adoption team based in North East, starting on 05/03/2024.

Key skills and experience:

- high quality interpersonal skills
- experience in dealing with families, children and schools
- strong critical thinkers
- excellent social perceptiveness
- strong negotiating skills
- sound judgement
- HCPC registered with a relevant social work qualification (eg BASW).

They will have proven experience of contributing to the delivery of an effective Adoption Support Service, managing caseloads of adoption families in need of specialist support, and be experienced in utilising their expert knowledge, training and therapeutic skills to determine appropriate interventions.

Working across a number of environments, they will and demonstrate knowledge of adoption legislation as well as a commitment to ensuring that children and young people are adequately protected in line with departmental policy and procedures at all times. They will be advocating for orphaned children as well as working with multi-agency professionals in both statutory and voluntary sectors to maximise support services for adoptive families.
