Cable Jointers Mate

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Cable Jointer's Mate to join our team. As a Cable Jointer's Mate, you will assist the Cable Jointer in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical cables and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with power tools.

**Duties**:

- Assist the Cable Jointer in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical cables and equipment
- Dig trenches and lay cables underground
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist with cable jointing tasks
- Assist with welding and soldering tasks as needed
- Perform general maintenance tasks on equipment and tools
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Knowledge of electrical systems and cable jointing techniques is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from the Cable Jointer
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks accurately
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time

Salary From £27,000 DOE
