**Curriculum Support Specialist**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven **Curriculum Support Specialist **to join our team here at Bournemouth and Poole College on a **full time, permanent** basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£20,100 per annum.**

**About the role**:
As the **Curriculum Support Specialist **you will be providing support to students, parents and curriculum areas from the point of recruitment to completion at the end of the course. You will be engaging with our stakeholders to encourage enrolment in exciting and relevant courses across the College.

**Responsibilities as our Curriculum Support Specialist will include**:

- ** **Acting as the point of contact on behalf of Directors Learning Managers of Curriculum and associated academic staff, including taking telephone calls, writing letters, taking minutes dealing with messages and bringing forward and progressing matters for management attention
- Organising curriculum area events and appointments, eg parents’ evenings, awards evenings, work experience, student voice forums and events, interviews, visits, room bookings
- Proactively responding to course enquiries from business customers, individuals and employers within a specified time-frame
- Handling and prosing of financial information using correct college procedures. Ensuring correct procedures are used within the curriculum areas
- Ensuring that effective systems of administration are in place in the designated curriculum areas
- Assisting with the day to day running of curriculum areas eg communicating timetable changes, reporting and recording staff and student absence/lateness, ordering stationary, supplies, online store, filing, generating and handling correspondence, data input
- Taking an active lead on cross selling all types of college courses to students, parents and all other enquiries
- Producing high quality reports and status updates on all activity for this role, within a specified timeframe
- Seeking opportunities to consistently make improvements and contribute to the overall success of the College.
- Taking accountability for work produced and rectifying issues with prompt solutions

**As our Curriculum Support Specialist, you’ll** **ideally have**:

- ** **Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
- Appropriate qualification to level 2/3 standard
- Experience working in a busy office environment and managing a diverse caseload
- An understanding of GDPR, data protection and health and safety requirements and how this aligns with the working environment
- The ability to ensure that communication is facilitated e.g. telephones are always answered/forwarded, enquiries / other requests are appropriately and efficiently dealt with or re-directed
- The ability to attend college events i.e. open evenings including outside of normal working hours
