CIPFA is expanding its Advisory team (CIPFA Solutions) and is looking for Management and Senior Management Consultants. This is an exciting and valuable opportunity for anyone working in or with public sector finance teams looking for a new challenge and committed to supporting public services.

You will work with high profile public and government bodies, helping them and the wider public sector address their financial and non-financial challenges.

We are currently focused on helping the sector with their financial and operational challenges, service improvement (Transformation) and property services.

As part of the wider CIPFA Solutions and Policy team (including our data team), you are in a unique position to help organisations inform their thinking, develop approaches, and deliver support to ensure they are resilient and effective in managing their resources.

**Person Specification**:
You will be highly motivated, comfortable in challenging conventional thinking, and have a passion for supporting public services. You will identify what organisations need help on, understand financial and governance requirements, and offer solutions. You will share our values of being accountable, open, fair-minded, and supportive too.

**Key tasks include but not limited to**:

- Supporting the design, development, and delivery of the wider CIPFA Solutions services strategic plan.
- Providing CIPFA Solutions input to corporate initiatives across all service delivery areas including Policy and Marketing.
- Providing an external voice for CIPFA Solutions services at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Providing support and advice on the development of CIPFA Solutions approaches, ensuring they are relevant, and market driven.
- Building, manage and develop external relationships with key individuals and organisations across the public sector.
- Working with Chief Executives, Directors of Finance, Politicians, Non-Executive Directors, and senior staff across the public sector to grow the presence and impact of CIPFA.
- Supporting the development of integrated Advisory solutions that are appropriate and fit for purpose for the public sector.
- Effectively prepare proposals for support and presentations.
- Identifying and negotiating schedules, milestones, and resources required to meet project objectives.
- Responsibility for the effective delivery of projects on-time, on-budget and within scope meeting or exceeding the stakeholder expectations.
