IT Sourcing Specialist

IT Sourcing Specialist required by a market-leading, global, financial services organisation.

In this exciting and varied role, you will support the sourcing, management, and delivery of new IT Services to support the overall strategic goals of the business.

This role would suit a results-oriented, commercially minded technology sourcing professional as you will be responsible for the onboarding of new suppliers, ongoing supplier due diligence and supporting in the approval process for contracts. You will negotiate and write IT procurement contracts for both new deals and renewals, provide ongoing advice, guidance and support to the business on various procurement matters and will run/support various sourcing events (RFP, e-auction, etc.) for key projects specific to software.

To be considered you must have a broad range of experience gained in an IT Sourcing environment in Procurement or Contract Management, where you have dealt with Tier 1 IT suppliers. Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a financial services or similar regulated environment where you understand the intricacies of managing suppliers and contracts within the guidelines and frameworks laid out, however this is not essential and someone open, driven and eager to learn will be able to pick this up quickly.

Skills and experience required:

- Good experience in IT Procurement / IT Sourcing
- High level of commercial knowledge with sound business acumen, and the ability to assess and interpret contractual terms whilst aligning to the business objectives
- Experience in sourcing and managing contracts and 3rd party suppliers in a regulated environment is desirable.
- A relevant professional IT qualifications (e.g. ITIL)
- Effective problem solver, ability to quickly assess technical escalations
- High level of communication influencing and negotiation skills, coupled with an ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong delivery focus with an ability to help others get on board quickly with changing priorities.

You will have excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to work at pace and to deadlines and will have strong teamworking skills.
