The post holder carries day to day responsibility for supporting the operational management and delivery of participation activates across all children’s mental health services, South Staffordshire Integrated Care System (ICS). This will be for young people or for parent/carers. The post holder will ensure that the participation activity is coordinated across the system and is delivered across the region within all children’s mental health services. This post will ensure that all National and Trust targets and standards are adhered to including the recording of information within the IT systems. The post holder will be responsible for supervising staff within the team, leadership, the delivery and delegation of management supervision, monitoring the progress around investment monies and ensuring appropriate clinical / professional supervision takes place as per Trust policy and procedure.

Service Development and Review
1. To engage in and support the development of participation policies, procedures and working practices within the team. Such policies may impact outside of the CAMHS service and include system wide partners. Ensure implementation, monitoring, evaluation and compliance with all policies and procedures in area of responsibility.
2. Work collaboratively with the Team Leads, Service Manager, and team clinical leads in the planning and delivery of participation for children & young people and their families.
3. To ensure that all Trust policies and guidelines are adhered to and provide guidance to staff regarding implementation of participation activities across Integrated Care System (ICS).
4. To support the local implementation/development of National strategies and to initiate change and service user involvement, co-production and service development.
5. Working to defined expected results, ensure delivery of these, guided by broad occupational policies.

Management of Resources and Performance
1. To support the Team Leader in managing a designated team, exercising effectiveness and flexible budget control in order to stay within budgetary limits in conjunction with locality manager.
2. Maintains the achievement of Key Performance Indicators and Essential Standards
3. Support with the day to day line supervision responsibility for staff working within the service including management of sickness, performance, recruitment and appraisals.
4. To work collaboratively to undertake evaluation and service outcome reviews of Participation service

Service Delivery
1. To promote, develop, implement and manage clinical standards and good practices within their sphere of responsibility.
2. To support with the design and delivery of Participation agenda across the South Staffordshire locality, including presentations, workshops and groups.
3. To be a visible, consistent presence in the team.
4. To be open and accountable to service users and carers and to promote a positive approach to person centred care.
5. To ensure the use of and adhere to the policies and processes.
6. To support and ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented
