Security Guard

Steadfast Security is a long-established Security Industry Approved Contractor.

An excellent job opportunity has become available for a permanent full-time Concierge Security Operative to join a Site which is located within Gateshead.

This role is responsible for meeting, greeting, welcoming, and guiding customers and visitors on their arrival at Gateshead Civic Centre. The officer will often be the first person the visitor meets on-site, therefore must represent the client's brand to the highest of standards. The officer will then direct the visitors to the appropriate parking area and relevant location or point of contact.

**Required Skills**:
it is _desirable_ that you have previous experience of working in a concierge security environment, ideally in areas of high public circulation, as customer service etiquette is critically important to our client. Whilst previous security experience is compulsory, you must hold a valid SIA licence.

You will possess a clear and demonstrable customer service approach. You will need to demonstrate an ability to discreetly maintain a secure and safe environment while adhering to the high standards expected of you.

The Concierge must ensure that the highest levels of customer care and service are maintained at all times. The Concierge must deal effectively with complaints, take the correct action and remain courteous at all times.

The Concierge should check and all visitors and guests, ensuring they have permission to be present in the building.

Correct reporting of any security/Health & Safety issues, incidents, and complaints. Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency.

Pro-actively deal with any maintenance and cleaning problems identified within the development and regularly carry out site inspections to identify any problems.

Assist the Duty Manager/Senior Managers with any other reasonable duties as requested.

Be able to give a clear and concise handover at the end of the shift, highlighting any events that have occurred and forthcoming events.

You will need to complete internal and external patrols of the building.

**Qualifications**:
SIA License

First aid at work qualification

Security experience

The ability to compile accurate and legible reports
