**Job description**:
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Operations Superintendent, based in Aberdeen.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review, assess and progress operational issues through to completion.
- Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure up-to-date, timely and complete administration and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and industry best practice and advise of risks and opportunities associated with compliance and implements agreed solutions.
- Prioritise work of assigned employees or contractors.
- Manages and coordinates installation modifications and operational queries in conjunction with the Facilities Engineer.
- Liaises with discipline engineers, other internal departments and external parties when required, to ensure that operational issues requiring attention outside own capabilities are adequately addressed in a safe and timely manner.
- Responsible for delivering the yearly, 90 and 28 day asset plan.
- Directs the asset planner and the offshore management team regarding the installation look ahead planning (short and long term) to ensure that conflict and clashes in the work programme do not occur.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Relevant engineering or technical degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience supervising teams and managing safety in a challenging environment.
- A high level of negotiation and influencing skills
- Proven knowledge of UK offshore legislation.
- Project management capability - ability to work within project, budget, schedule and resource constraints.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Flexible approach to work and clear time management skills.
- Valid survival certificate and offshore medical (plus any other industry standard pre-requisites to travel offshore).
- The flexibility to travel offshore and abroad.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Direct experience of Maximo and standard Microsoft programmes.
