Handyman (Ft)

**Multi Trades Recruitment **is looking for a
**General Handyman** in
**Wakefield **with a strong background in Joinery to work with a Facilities Management company.

**About the job**:

- Monday - Friday.
- 8.00 am until 16.00 pm.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prioritize own workload to ensure effective delivery of services and contract compliance.
- Undertake reactive and planned building fabric joinery and painting work.
- Ensure workmanship meets high standards and is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any accidents, complaints, equipment defects, near misses, and untoward incidents.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including COSHH and workplace risk assessments.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and painting services on timber and steel doors, metal windows, and fixed timber furniture.
- Conduct planned maintenance inspections and complete all necessary administrative work.
- Liaise with other trades as required and provide feedback on building fabric works.
- Help carry out estate surveys, safety, and environmental risk assessments, and prepare reports.
- Ensure activities proceed in a safe manner and comply with statutory regulations, good working practices, and company policies and procedures.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- City and Guilds in Joinery.
- Fire door maintenance scheme qualification.
- Decorating/painting experience.
- Driving license.
